GREELEY ARCHERS MEETING – APRIL 3, 2008

 

 

Members Present:  Craig Weimer, John Springer, Steve Foote, Dutch Siefken, Jerry Quinn, John Cannon, Charlie Morgan, David Hout and David Sanchez.

 

Treasurer’s Report:  $4195.80

 

David Sanchez from the City of Greeley brought in the new city brochure for the club to edit the Archery section. 

 

Youth Lessons start April 5^th through May 3^rd.   Cost will be $20 per session for Greeley residents and $25 for non-residents.  To register,  call the Greeley Recreation Center at 970-350-9400.

 

The Greeley Outdoor Skills Day is May 3^rd from 9 am to 2:30 pm.   The fee is $5.

Kevin Meyer and John Cannon will teach archery skills.

 

The Indoor League has been averaging 18 shooters per week.  There are 2 weeks left.

 

Charlie Morgan and John Cannon are still checking prices on 3-D targets.

 

The Greeley Archer’s Web Site is up and running.  The address is:  http://www.greeleyarchers.com/.  Thanks to John Cannon and April Jaeger for setting up the website.

 

If you wish to make suggestions for additions to the website, you may send an email to  John.Cannon@sanofi-aventis.com.   The newsletter will be posted on the website and no longer mailed/emailed to members.

 

The outdoor league will start on Tuesday, April 22^nd at 6:30 pm.  The fee will be $5 for payback, $2.50 for non-payback.   If possible, please come at 6:00 pm to help set up targets.

 

The next outdoor shoot is on Sunday, April 20^th starting at 9 am.  Shoot set-up will be on Saturday, April 19^th at 2 pm.

 

There was discussion regarding replacement of the indoor backstop.  Steve Foote will contact Ken White  for an estimate .

 

Discussion was held regarding money donations from businesses in exchange for advertising through Greeley Archers.
